Sonu Kumar Sah
Namaste! I am Sonu Kumar Sah, a passionate and dedicated yoga teacher with a strong foundation in classical Hatha Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Mysore style Ashtanga Vinyasa. With over 3 years of experience in teaching, healing, and guiding students on their yogic path, I have had the privilege of transforming lives through the wisdom of yoga across India, Nepal, and Singapore.
My expertise lies in Hatha Yoga and asana alignment, Mysore-style Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yoga Therapy, pranayama and meditation techniques, as well as yoga anatomy, alignment, and adjustment. I am also experienced in conducting teacher training programs, including 200- and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Courses (YTTC), and hold a certification in Aerial Yoga with 80 hours of training.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Yoga Therapy from S-VYASA University in Bangalore, one of India’s premier yoga institutions. Additionally, I hold the Level-3 Certification from the Yoga Certification Board (YCB), under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and am a Certified Aerial Yoga Teacher.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have served in several leadership and faculty roles. I am currently the Director and Lead Teacher at Shivalaya Yoga Ashram in Nepal. I have worked as Lead Faculty at Vyasa Yoga Singapore, conducting teacher training and therapy-based classes. In India, I have contributed as a Teacher Trainer at Ashish Yoga Fitness in Bangalore and as a Senior Teacher at Sunshine Yoga Zone and Yoggiri Yoga & Wellness in Bengaluru. I have led numerous 200- and 300-hour YTTC programs, facilitated detailed modules on anatomy and asana alignment, and designed specialized workshops and sessions focused on Yoga Therapy.
With a heart committed to sharing the transformative power of yoga, I continue to guide students toward a deeper connection with themselves through mindful movement, breath, and awareness.
